new years day tournament roping Bryan reiter's indoor arena Brookline, MO. Starts at 10am entry fee $125. I went last year or the year before and the turn out was pretty good and they usually have some kind of jackpot afterwards.
It's been freezing or below here every night for better than a week and honestly we only have 2 dairy cross calfs to rope anyway. Can't get much practice on 2 calfs that might die if you rope them to much. How about you? Your side of Missouri cold as all get out or are you in Norman?
Ya i figured it would be great but those kiddos have a way of taking over your life with out you even noticing. I'm figuring on being primed and ready for Purcell and Joe's boot shop. At least that's the plan. I'll c u down the road and congrats on OU's LUCKY win. GO BIG RED
For the most part it's a good time. We do it in memory of my Maternal grand father. We still use a minature he broke to cart and a cart he built. My son is 5 and my daughter will be 2 in January so they enjoy all the attention and if I remember right 3 years ago we placed 3rd in our home town parade. So little things like that make pretty good memories.
The school was amazing. There ended up being 12 ropers and everybody got something out of it. I don't know when we'll do it again but I'll let you know and trust me when I say it's worth it. He works on your catch loop, ground work and gives some great tips for your horse. What ever level you are he can help.
I live about 10 miles from Joplin,Mo. Did you ever make it this way for the ropings held by mitch Wade or any of the Jack pots held at NEO in Miami, Ok.That reminds me did you inquire about a C.R. Bradley roping school being held in Joplin.
