Hey Travis I really appreciate the invite to San Angelo, but I will be unable to make it this time. Please keep me in mind if you go on another trip and need someone to go with I would really like to go with you sometime. Thanks again!
Nice hearing from you Travis. Congrats on the upcoming of a new baby. I haven't roped since the last part of June. I did find someone to go with (I hope) so that will make it a little easier to go. Business has been extremely busy so I have been dealing with that and looking for some new property. I just got some new calves last week so I plan on getting back into it and hitting some of the winter ropings. I'm sorry to hear about your grey horse. Hope he will make a recovery. If NEO has a schedule of their ropings could you keep me updated when they are having them. I would love to come to few of them. Hope the family is well. See ya later!
Travis I hope all is well with you and your family. Haven't been going lately due to work and the heat. We have been looking at new houses and have a couple that we are going to pursue so that has been taking some time. We have been hauling hay and just got the last load of square bales done tonight. We just got round bales left thank goodness. Roger Branch's roping sounds like a great roping. Definetly going next year. Take care and hopefully see you at some ropings!
This mare is Registered in the Paint Horse Association. She's a solid paint. Her name is JF MONKEYMONK #36,348. She is by a stud named PEAKABOOPEPPY #110,957, out of a mare named JINGER BREAD GIRL #64,715. you should be able to look her up on the APHA website. I want $7,000.00 for her. This mare is solid in the Tie-Down and Breakaway. I don't rope anything on her at the house, my wife scores 1 or 2 to keep her scoring good. I just haul her. She doesn't need to be tuned on at all. You can turn her out for as long as you want then load her up and go win on her. She knows her job and does it very well. All you have to do is hold her in the corner til you want her to leave. If you leave her alone she works better. She can really get across the line and she can run. She can knock ones tracks out, drags her butt and gets back qwick. She is pretty qwick getting out of it, but it's so smooth that she makes it easy to leave her. She will stay back on the end of the rope. I haven't ever had any problem with her working, I don't think she has ever walked up. I do use a line on her evertime. So I don't know what she is like with out it. This mare has a big motor , but a whole lot of sense to go with it. My 12 yr old daughter rides her all over down the dirt road by our house. The only thing I don't like about her is - if you turn her out you can't just walk out with a halter and go catch her. You need to take a bucket of grain with you and she will come running. Unless my wife goes to catch her, she can walk up to her anytime & anywhere. She's sound and an easy keeper. She stays fat year round. She really is a ice mare.
Glad to hear your family survived the storms. Had some damage at the house last night from the storms, but very mininmal. Going to finish my young horse on my own. Hauled him to other arenas and he has not made a mistake since Joplin. Hopefully he just wild hair and it is out of him now. Just need to keep on him, but work gets in the way as you know as well. Thanks for commenting back. See ya later!
