Roping and Tying a Dairy Bred Calf
1 Reply

If you do have to rope dairy bred calves they have longer legs. You don't want to till your arena too deep. Your arena should be a little damp and packed so the calf won't hang a hind leg and snap.…Continue

Thank you for the welcome Todd. I am coming to the end of my five year military service and am looking forward to going home to Oklahoma where I have a couple cousins that have been roping since I can remember. They got me started at a very young age and I put it down about 6-7 years ago. I started getting back into it as much as I could about this time last year. My main problem is that I don't have a horse to rope off of yet. I have to go home and break the two horses there then train them. I am very excited to get back to what I love and grew up doing, being a cowboy. My biggest goal at the moment is to get started small then progress through the ranks and win at the NFR someday. Any advice, tips, or references that I could go to for help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your support of the military and the warm welcome. Sincerely, Eathon Rose
