When I'm in the practice pen, I've been strugglin on calves that stay to the right of my horse. I either top knot the calf or the curl of my rope catches the left front leg. What can I do to fix this problem? Any tips are welcome.

Dip urn rope to the left, almost like a jelling loop
there are times at a rodeo that you have to take that throw, the top knot is a miss but a figure-eight on the left front is not a bad deal, but especially in the practice pen and even in an average roping unless they are on the right fence, make your horse change leads and get behind the calf. you will have a much greater chance of roping them clean around the neck and receive a better fall.
