..............................Special Note...........

The Ultimate Calf Roping Association would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the Callaway family. Robert Callaway owner and founder of Callaway Ropes went to be with his lord on May 18. Robert founded Callaway Ropes in 1972. Callaway Ropes became the very first sponsor of the UC ropings when we started and we know Robert will be truely missed by all.

For those that don't know, Scott was head of Cactus Saddle for many years. We are proud to announce that Circle Y and Scott Thomas will be introducing The Ultimate Calf Roping Saddle. There will actually be two lines, one with a Billy Hogg Tree, and one with a Precision Tree built on the same lines as a Hogg Tree. There will be more info coming shortly! We are excited that we will have an exceptional calf roping saddle at an affordable price with member discounts!

Circle Y names Scott Thomas Performance Product Line Manager

YOAKUM, Texas (February 29, 2012): Circle Y Saddles, Inc., America’s Leading Saddle Brand, welcomes Scott Thomas to the team in the role of Performance Product Line Manager.

Thomas grew up in Colorado with parents deeply involved in the saddle and western strap good industry.  Throughout his professional career, Thomas has had significant experience with saddles and tack, as well as working relationships with several of the western industry’s top competitors, producers, and associations.  His knowledge of the industry, coupled with the fact that he is a saddle maker himself, has enabled Thomas to develop products that are relevant to today’s competitors.  Thomas resides in Campbell, Texas with his family and is an avid team roper.

In his role as Performance Product Line Manager, Thomas will be responsible for the development and marketing of Circle Y’s Xtreme Performance® saddle line.  The Xtreme Performance® saddles are engineered to fit today’s performance horse and rodeo competitor.  They boast an American-made Precision Saddle tree which carries a Lifetime Tree Warranty.  The saddles are custom, handcrafted, hand tooled, and made in the U.S.A.  The competitively priced XP® line includes roper, barrel, ranch, and reining models.  Customization is available, allowing the consumer to design their own saddle, from the hand tooling to the accessories.

“Scott is no stranger to the Western industry. His manufacturing experience and knowledge of the products consumers want and need will provide valuable insight as Circle Y looks forward to our next 50 years of business,” said Mark Jemelka, chief operating officer of Circle Y Saddles.

Circle Y Saddles, Inc. is America’s Leading Saddle Brand. Circle Y’s innovative products reflect the current trends in design and are ahead of the industry in technology. Circle Y started saddle manufacturing in 1960 in the small Texas town of Yoakum. Still located there, Circle Y continues to produce high quality saddles and tack with the heritage and tradition the company was founded on. Circle Y saddles and tack are sold through a network of authorized dealers; visit
